Vitamin B12 protects nerve cells. It contains the metal cobalt, thus the name cobalamin for this vitamin. In addition to helping to make DNA, it also maintains healthy red blood cells and nerve cells. B12 is absorbed badly in poor health, needs calcium & hydrochloric acid to improve absorption. With aging, the loss of gastric acid causes B12 deficiency.

warnings:
